Mini Printers - what are they?

We would define miniprinters as any small format printer, typically using rolls of paper with a width of between 44mm and 112mm.
The most common technologies for these devices are impact dot matrix, direct thermal or thermal transfer. Specific devices could be categorised according to their attributes, for example, panel mounted, mobile, POS (Point Of Sale), kiosk, label printers, etc.
Applications include; test & measurement, medical, receipting, ticketting, fire & security, labelling, weighing, parking, logistics, messaging and many others.
We will develop this blog over time to include discussions about the various different types of miniprinters and their uses, along with example devices available from M-Tech Printers.
